How to get…… beautiful feetSaturday, June 17th, 20061. Soften. Take off old nail polish with a gentle, hydrating remover. Fill a bowl with warm water and add a foot soak containing peppermint, which is cooling and soothing for tired feet. Soak for 5-10 minutes, then apply a foot scrub. 2. Smooth. Rinse your feet and dry them thoroughly especially between your toes. Rub the hard skin on your heels and soles with a foot file. 3. Groom. Massage a dab of cuticle cream or oil around your nail beds and gently push back the skin with a manicure stick. Then work in tiny circles on the surface of the nails near the cuticle to remove the build-up of skin. Clip your nails straight across and gently file the sharp sides. Then apply a foot moisturising lotion. Polish. If you don’t have any tow separators, twist a tissue and wrap it in-between your toes. Next wipe the nails with a cotton pad and a little remover. This will kill germs, dry the nail and removes any remaining foot cream from the nails so polish will go on more easily. Brush on a base coat first (to prevent yellowing nails) and then follow with polish and a top coat. |
